Capsule hotel project is the result from the research based on the recycle and reuse of waste materials. The architect’s plan was to travel over Europe by boat in search of local wastes that can be turned into re-usable objects. An enclosed boat is used as a base of this project. The designer from REFUNC was fascinated with the ‘real’ industrial stuff and chose the survival capsules which were affordable.

The location of Barud house is pretty unique. From the very first visit, Paritzki Liani Architects have been impressed by a pink Cyclamen growing out of the rocky face. Instead of challenging the structure, the architects decided to allow themselves to be guided by the raw state of the terrain. The house has been designed with an L-shape as its first floor facing to an exposed cliff wall. The living space, divided by glass, mediates between a view of minimal and beautiful geometric form of the rock one side and panoramic view on the other.
RAFAA has shared their Solar Plant Towers design proposal for the company BrightSource Energy Inc. This company is building a 392-megawatt solar thermal power facility located in the Mojave Desert, California. The construction started in 2010 using mirrors to focus the power of the sun on solar receivers at the top of three 225-meter power towers. These 3 solar plant towers will be built in phases between 2010 and 2013 in this complex where electricity generated from these towers will then be used to serve more than 140,000 homes in California during peak hours of the day.
The design proposal of the towers doesn’t only offer solution for functional assignment, but also wants to create stronger image for BrightSource Energy as the top leader in the field of sustainable technologies by making contribution to its corporate design. RAFAA has developed 2 design proposals of the world’s largest Solar Plant that shall serve as a powerful statement to ensure the company’s share in the fast growing solar technology market.
The first proposal (Plan A) strictly follows the given budget and time frame while tries to provide the greatest impact possible without having to fall back on major adjustments to the existing concepts. The second proposal (Plan B) demonstrates a long term strategy for BrightSource Energy.
This tremendous and extreme Busan Opera House design proposal comes from TOTEMENT Architects where the main concept was based on ideas of separation without division, merging of diverse, cube shape, and complicated internal structure of the building. By merging inverse concepts into a single form, it creates a beautiful Life Harmony where the strong form is reflected externally while the internal knows its limits.
This building project plays with hieroglyph of spatial shapes where each one is revetted by metal sheets. The bottom facets reflect the earth and water while the top ones reflect the sky and the sun, uniting itself into main elements of the world. This Busan Opera House design proposal presents itself as a game of life, a man, a theater.
Beautiful observation platform or “Estación Infiernillo” by Chilean architect Mauricio a. ureta villagra has been completed at the south central coast in Talca, Chile. This observation platform is not only a great space for pause and contemplation, it’s also a tourist attraction. Located in a town which was affected by tsunami in 2010, the architect divided this area into 2 diverse events; the lower landscape has been carved into the steep hill, thus offers the tourists and local inhabitants the auditory experience of ocean sounds.

Mountain and Opening house was built for a Japanese sneaker brand, Dragon Beard as a residential house and a design room. Situated in Takarazuka-city of Hyogo Prefecture, this site is located in exclusive residential district with breath taking view of the Osaka Plain. This project was pretty challenging since it had to be built on the slope of the hill with an elevation of 330 meters and the level difference of the site is 8 meters.
Eastern Design Office takes the advantage of the slope to create one of strong characteristics of this site. A building with an architecture design that meets the requirements of two persons.
