The new Clockwork Swiss Embassy proposal designed by Matteo Cainer Architects in Yaoundé honors its renewed presence in the Cameroon as well as respects uniqueness of the site. This architecture building represents the elegant ensemble that sums up the identity of Swiss people and their values. The proposal expresses the traditional Swiss know-how which good, because it represents what this embassy can do and achieve. If you are familiar with Swiss timepieces, than you can tell this building is a metaphor for the quality of Swiss timepieces, complex and symbolic. Not only does the mechanism and synchronised movement resolve the complexity and secure requirements of the Embassy itself, but it can also represent the underlying beauty of a pragmatic and essential artefact.

The unfamiliar words that he uses to describe his works was “ecological theology”, he paints himself through the painting. Since he’s been working from home for the last ten years, the subjects of his paintings are usually ordinary things like spaces in his daily life, it can be the parks, streets or a small village that he often visits. Extension of Hamborn Abbey Near Duisburg by ASTOC Architects and Planners

St. Johann Abbey is located in the urban district of Hamborn which is more than a thousand years old. The client wanted a renovation of the architecture to bring out the typical ideals of a canonical monastery, explicitly known as the “communio ad intra et ad extra”. ASTOC’s blueprint tags along the principles of the Premonstratensians. The new four-sided structure closes the split on the third side of a courtyard garden and the building takes up the principle of utilizing columns to line up the corridors. The structure is designed in par with the urban developmental and geometrical guidelines. The building is designed to satisfy all the requirements of the monastic community. The new extension building has sacral chamber, offices and a recreation room apart from the residential section. To maintain the link between inside and outside spaces the chapel has three entrances: from the monastery, cemetery and from the neighboring school. The building is brightly lit and the white exterior is matched with the oak doors and floors.

Busan Opera House Design Proposal by TOTEMENT Architects

This tremendous and extreme Busan Opera House design proposal comes from TOTEMENT Architects where the main concept was based on ideas of separation without division, merging of diverse, cube shape, and complicated internal structure of the building. By merging inverse concepts into a single form, it creates a beautiful Life Harmony where the strong form is reflected externally while the internal knows its limits.

This building project plays with hieroglyph of spatial shapes where each one is revetted by metal sheets. The bottom facets reflect the earth and water while the top ones reflect the sky and the sun, uniting itself into main elements of the world. This Busan Opera House design proposal presents itself as a game of life, a man, a theater.
